Graduated from Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University Department of International Law and International Relations followed by the post-graduate course on the same department; completed Masters’ course at European Institute of Saarland University in Saarbrucken;

Holds the degree of the Candidate of Legal Sciences;

An associated Professor at Tbilisi State University Department of Law;

Starting from 1996 worked as a Chief Specialist at International Relations Committee Office of the Parliament of Georgia; an Invited Lecturer at Tbilisi State University Department of International Law and International Relations;  and Legal Consultant at the International Organisations of Migration (IOM);

Since 2001 has been invited as a researcher at the Vienna University Institute of European Law, European Institute of Saarland University, and Merton Centre at the University of Frankfurt; 

Obtained over 20 international grants and stipends;
Author of over 10 publications.
