Graduated from Georgian Technical University and continued further studies at Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University Sokhumi Department on the Faculty of Law;

1991-1993 Chairman of Sachkhere Regional Organisation of Green Party of Georgia;

Starting from 1995, Member of three convocations of the Georgian Parliament;

Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Self-Governance; one of the authors of the Law on Self-governance;

Served as a Member of the Legal and Agricultural Committees of the Parliament of Georgia, and as a Deputy Chairman of the Commission on the
Issues of Restoring Territorial Integrity of Georgia;

Chairman of Board of Trustees of Tbilisi Public School No 1 since 2005.
