Born in 1960 in Tbilisi

Successfully graduated from Tbilisi Polytechnic University Department of Auto mechanics and completed the post graduate course on the same Department;

Since 1981, at various occasions worked as an Engineer, later as a Chief Engineer and as a Researcher at the Auto Mechanics Institute of the

Georgian Ministry of Academy; was a teacher at the Engineering Graphics Department of the Polytechnic Institute of Georgia;

1992 – 1993 Executive Secretary of the Green Party of Georgia;

1995-1997 Vice Mayor of Tbilisi Municipality on social issues and President’s Representative to Mtskheta- Mtianeti Region;

2003-2004 Head of Patrol Police;

Shalva Ogbaidze is a licensed racing pilot;

Since 2005 - President of Georgian Auto Federation;

1997 – Developed a new methodology of teaching road safety and founded “Sh. Ogbaidze Auto School”

Since 2002 Member of Tbilisi City Council (“Sakrebulo”), Chairman of Road Safety Commission, and Deputy Chairman of Anti-Corruption Commission;

Author of 15 scientific publications, 3 rationalisation proposals and 3 inventions;

Holds scientific degree of the Doctor of Technical Sciences; Completed course of education in Law.
