Famous film director Giorgi Danelia has an anniversary. He became 80 years old.

“Sad comedies” – it is the way the famous film director calls his movies, beloved by many generations.

On august 19, the member of the main Council of “Democratic Movement: Zaza Sofromadze held the special briefing ob the fact of violence against peaceful action of IDPs and street vendors.

“Prior to the local elections of May 30, government was promising that it would solve all social and economical problems, would create employment oportunities especially for those who desperately need it.

On August 13, the chairperson of “Democratic Movement” held the special briefing in Headquarter of the Party.

“First of all, I would like to honour memory of the all people who died during the war including our citizens of ossetian origin. I would like to specially underline the heroism of our soldiers. Even that they became victims of miscalculation and even crime of the Saakashvili’s regime; they fought and died for their homeland.

On August 9 in Hotel ”Vere Palas” 9 “Representative Public Assemble” initiated the  conference “The results of the war of 2008 and possible solutions” on the second anniversary of the war of 2008.

On august 8, the members of the Main Council of “Democratic Movement” participated in the symbolic action Remember the August War of 2008 organized by “Representative Public Assemble”.

The non-governmental organization “Solidarity with unlawfully arrested prisoners” also joined the symbolic action.

On August 8, the chairperson of “Democratic Movement”, the members of the main Council of the party and the representatives of “Representative Public Assemble” honoured the soldiers who died in the war of August 2008 and brought the flowers to their burial place in Mukhatgverdi.

On July 29, the chairperson and the members of the Main Council of “Democratic Movement” held another working meeting.

The project of the Constitutional Commission was discussed by each articles as well. The opinion of Georgian and foreign experts on this project were taken into consideration.

On July 23, Nino Burjanadze and the members of the Main Council of the Party met the representatives of the Public Constitutional Commission.
