Mrs. Nino Burjanadze met the chancellor of Foreign affairs of Switzerland
On January 17 the meeting took place between the leaders of opposition and the chancellor of Foreign affairs of Switzerland, the chairman of Ministerial Comity of the European Council Mishelin Kalmi-rei in Tbilisi office of the European Council.

After the meeting the leader of the “Democratic Movement-united Georgia” told the journalists that the opposition leaders familiarized the guest with political situation in Georgia.

Acording to Mrs. Burjanadze, the chairman of Ministerial Comity of the European Council underlined that the assessment of the situation in Georgia by authorities is totally different from the one she heard from opposition parties.

The leader of the “democratic Movement” expressed the hope that our western friends will adequately assess the situation in Georgia.

All democratic indicators are worsened in the country. It is worth to mention that in last 6 month there were not made any single step towards democracy and country is heading towards totalitarism. Without our activeness, we will pay much higher price in the future stated Mrs. Nino Burjanadze.
