Yesterday night, in Tbilisi, on Chavchavadze avenue authorities showed their real face. The police units severely beat Internal Displaces Persons and journalists. Even on the 4th anniversary if tragic death of Sandro Girgvliani the current regime continues violence, terror and humiliation of own citizens.

While, due to foolish deeds of the president, country has got additional Internal Displaces Persons being in terrible conditions, instead of solving the problems the president is busy with cheap PR campaigns. Furthermore authorities try to block any just protests, hinder the functioning of the free media in order to maintain the population in illusionary world he tries create by own media.

“Democratic Movement-united Georgia” expresses its solidarity with TV “Maestro” and addresses to international organizations, embassies in Georgia to properly assess the above mentioned fact. On our side we call all democratic institutions together combat this violence in order to avoid worse in future.
