As it is known on 27th of January Initiative group of well known and prominent persons published the appeal on necessity of organization of the representative assembly of the people.

On February 3rd Mrs. Nino Burjanadze visited Chabua Amirejibi in order to discuss this issue in details.

“The idea of the representative assembly is seems very important and is very interesting to our party. Our party, like Mr. Chabua Amirejibi and his colleagues, does not support idea of participation in the local elections under the present government and election environment. But all of us are sure that country needs the urgent rescue plan.

It is very important to us that this idea comes from Chabua Amirejibi. He has critical views on ongoing situation and he thinks that instead of waiting, the immediate actions are necessary. The development of the situation prior to the organization of the representative assembly was discussed in details. What are roles of the society and political parties in above mentioned activity and the aims of the representative assembly were important topics of conversation as well.” – mentioned Mrs. Nino Burjanadze.

On behalf of “Democratic Movement” Mrs. Nino Burjanadze expressed deepest respect and gratitude to Chabua Amirejibi and underlined that “Democratic Movement” will continue consultations with initiators of the representative assembly in order facilitate the realization of this very important initiative for Georgia.
