On February 12, the leader of the “democratic Movement” Mrs. Nino Burjanadze met the representative of the NDI in Georgia Mr. Luis Navaro.

During the meeting in details was discussed the tense political situation in Georgia and possible outcomes of it.

Mrs. Nino burjanadze shared the opinion of the opposition political parties with Luis Navaro on the reformation of the second State TV channel and thanked for the active involvement in the process. Mrs. Nino Burjanadze underlined the importance of supervisory function of the NDI in the reformation process of the second State TV channel.

Taking into consideration the existed situation in Georgia, it is very important the Second Channel to become source of objective information and expression of the opinion of opposition political parties.

The NDI is the organization who is interested with the issues of unjustly arrested and detained persons and tries to monitor this issue.

During the meeting Mrs. Nino Burjanadze informed Mr. Luis Navaro about the concrete facts of psychological, financial and moral pressure experienced by different citizens who do not share government’s opinion on ongoing political processes.
