After statements made by the president of Georgia, Mikhail Saakashvili on the threat of Russian invasion, The parliament of Georgia Prepared the address to the parliaments of The North Caucasian Republics on cooperation behind Russia. Such address is nothing more than yet another provocation from Georgian Authorities. Taking into consideration the tense and instable situation in North Caucasus such statement may cause even more destabilization in the region.

By such initiatives Georgians authorities are trying to challenge Russia

The friendly relationships with North Caucasian nations are very important and the necessity of the cooperation and the balanced relationship always existed but nothing was done for it. But at this moment such statements are purely provocative and may cause heavy reaction from Russian side.

Saakashvili, realizing the threat of his authority in the country, tries with new provocative acts and statements provoke another war. He prefers to leave the country as a president in exile forced by Russia than to give his people the right to choose.

While during the years justly criticizing Russia for the support of separatism and the direct contacts with Abkhazian and so called South Ossetian separatists behind the central authorities, now Georgia government is repeating the same and hereby justifies similar activities of Russia in connection to our regions.

The “democratic Movement” believes that such action of the authorities is a step in the direction of further distance from Abkhazia and Thkinvali region. By such action Saakashvili declines the reunification of Georgian territorial integrity and justifies the recognition of Abkhazia and so called South Ossetia by Russian side.

We are calling every member of the Georgian parliament to fully acknowledge the own responsibility on expected results and refuse to participate in decision making process.

We address to entire world and international community to give the adequate assessment to the foolish and provocative actions of saakashvili. Existed reality shows similarities with the situation prior to the war of year 2008 and it is alarming. Georgia is facing threat of another war.
